This. It's sensible on both parts as it protects Sheffield Utd from having to carry the burden of his wages and outstanding fee on championship income.

I still remember Martin Samuel complaining Everton had cheated when we loaned Lukaku Barry and Deulofeu because we could never afford to buy those players. We bought all of them the season after. I can’t remember his retraction though.

Think PSR has fried everyone's brains into thinking everything is about PSR and PSR only. Villa fans in particular seem to think everything they do now is a genius PSR workaround. Seen some producing all sorts of amortisation / book value calculations to show that selling Philogene for 5m then buying him for 14m is actually a profit. Seeing everything through the prism of PSR seems to distort reality.

I suspect EPL have some wording around the spirit of the rules and goodwill etc, if they smell a rat, they will have a mechanism to find it I’m sure.
Agree with the bit about the RS though, two tier application of the rules for most cases.

The EPL, goodwill, sportsmanship, the common good. Yes they will have a mechanism they can apply to about 14 of the teams in the league.
