I mean the promotion is because he's literally one of one players to have come out, so there's a lot of debate about that.

Nah, not in a bunker, living my life, currently at work actually. Weird how the actual possibility of getting nuked/invaded seems to be a joking matter to you, but you are a bit weird so par for the course really.
 
Thing is, to folk of his generation, its absolutely no big deal. Being in the (kind of) public eye, (anyone heard of him before?), and football, does, obvs bring a different pressure I guess.

But my lads, a bit older, but same generation, just dont see anything. Got a text from son #1 the other day after I asked what he was up to. "Not much Dad, off to the Pride thing in town with Harry (step bros) and his husband"

And he is looking forward to meeting up with my cousin and his husband next month when they come over from NYC. Stayed in their Manhattan roof top apartment a few years ago. Had a blast.

IMO, the Gen X folk have got this future of the UK sorted, well better than the dinosaurs who seem to run us.

I hate to break this to you mate but Johnson, Gove and Reese-Mogg are all Gen X!
 

I remember my mate Leigh who was engaged to a girl coming out at a works dinner and everyone just said "yeah we know".Anyways I'm all for gays, but some people don't like them, I think they're idiots (homophobes not gays) but that's surely their perogative? Good on this lad though to be fair.
 

Hopefully more lids will feel that they are able to come out and in the very near future, it wont be a thing, just like it isn't in many other walks of life. I work with people whose identification label covers most of the alphabet, this is 2022, it really shouldn't be a problem

Is this not what Emir was trying to say above, how can we accept religion etc but tell them or decide which parts of the Bible,quran etc is wrong?
And I say this as an atheist and pro lgbtq.
