I have absolutely no opinion on the matter, and nor should anyone else. He can do what he likes, but I dont see the need for its promotion at all.

Assume you are still hidden in a bunker somewhere terrified of a Russian invasion of Bulgaria?
On the opposite side to this. I absolutely do have an opinion, and more than happy to share aiad opinion. Not for anybody else to say who should and shouldn't have an opinion on any given subject.

Just for good measure. I hope this gets promoted all over the shop. Good on the lad. Gets people talking. This story led to my 5 year old asking can men love each other and what would they be called if they had kids. Just said daddy and daddy. He just ok. And that was the end of that. Be more like my 5 year old people.

Asked this question yesterday, I dont remember anything like that when he was here and the rainbow laces campaign has been going on for a few years now. Be interesting to see if he was 'injured' for a similar reason here.

Imagine a white player refusing to play with a Show racism the red card or Kick it out shirt/armband etc.
Isn't this a problem with the polarization of sport in general? It used to be the one arena where people of a wide variety of backgrounds could come together and compete. Whatever anyone's opinion is surely they shouldn't have to violate their own moral compass?

Idrissa gueye refusing to wear rainbow shirt.

Is this not what Emir was trying to say above, how can we accept religion etc but tell them or decide which parts of the Bible, quran etc is wrong?
And I say this as an atheist and pro lgbtq.
The mentions of homosexuality in the bible/Quran are actually scant. Certainly compared to the weight given to them by Muslims and Christians.

The Quran actually has a verse that appears to offer up young virgin boys as a reward to men. And some of the bible verses that condemn homosexuality (eg Leviticus) contains myriad other batshit crazy rules that Christian’s roundly ignore.

The only way the likes of IGG will come around is through education, same thing when it comes to racism.

If he doesn't want to wear the rainbow thing on his short then he doesn't have too, it's not a crime to refuse to promote something. The only way he'll change his beliefs is if he feels the world is leaving him behind and is happy regardless, and so he decides the take time learn more about the subject.

A mob mentality will do absolutely nothing helpful when it comes spreading a message that the world needs more tolerance.

What I find really frustrating is these tossers who have no life who scour through hours of tweets spanning years trying to dig up dirt.

A lad has came out as gay (and for me, it should be a big commotion, because it’s 2022) and people are finding a negative comment from a teammate 9 years ago when he was a teen.

Instead of celebrating someone’s courage, the negatives overshadow it.

It really doesn’t help thag you’ve got tossers like Gueye condemning it too.

Such as no shellfish right?

That's possibly the best apology I've ever seen in a situation like this

Daniels accepting it so quickly was very kind on his part as well

Both of them have come out of it well

People can actually handle this stuff like adults eh? Who knew?

Such as no shellfish right?
or any sea creature without fins and scales. Along with:
no shaving/trimming your beard
Cutting your hair at the sides.
No wearing mixed fabric clothes
Eating fat
Eating blood (no black pudding for Christians)
Eating pork (or even handling a pig carcass)
Going to church within 33 days of giving birth to a boy.
Going to church within 66 days of giving birth to a girl.
Period sex.
Picking up grapes that have fallen in your vineyard
Planting different seeds in the same field
Eating fruit off a tree within four years of planting it.
Getting tattoos

But of course, none of this still applies because er, reasons. Except the bits about gay sex. They stand apart from all the other rules.

Convenient that eh?

Yet he had no problem with wearing shirts promoting alcohol and gambling.

He has every right to refuse to wear a shirt promoting an end to homophobia, and we have every right to call him out as a bigot. [Poor language removed] him and his Sky fairy.

But you haven't understood my point. The world in general is a lot more faithful and theist in comparison to England, so their homophobia can somewhat be understood and their rationale behind their views, but if you are English and atheist and are not tolerant of homosexuals, then that's a very a*sshole move. England is one of the most atheistic nation in the world so the views coming out of England should be a lot more tolerant.
I think most people are supportive of this
