Also I don’t see why Tarkowski can’t be improved upon. To me he’s an average but dependable bottom half Premier League defender, people seem to go on like he’s prime John Terry and his place in the team is set in stone. If this lad is an improvement on him then he should come into the team.

We were midtable points wise because of tarks, branthwait and Pickford.
Those three would be comfortable in most teams in world football

I think he better than a bottom half Mike, as far as actual defending goes he is one of the best in the league, he just doesnt have the finesse of say a Stones or Branthwaite (I mean he isn't easy on the eye) , very really does he lose an aerial dual in either box and puts his body on the line all the time.

Not saying he cant be improved on like but i wouldnt want to split our CB paring up just yet.

If Tarkowski was quick and with a greater range of passing, he wouldnt be playing for us. Hes very good.

There are absolutely loads, hundreds, of centre backs that play for top half teams that aren’t quick. Too many to even begin listing really.

I believe its his lack of pace that the top teams want because they play a higher line.
