Would have been lovely if the question had come from Thelwell before we wasted half our transfer budget on him.

What attitude? He is our 4th choice centre back.

Personally I would have him ahead of Keane but I say that without knowing anything about him other than he did OK in a league where Neal Maupay is succeeding.

We get it mate, any crap deals had nothing to do with Thelwell. But we give him credit for loads of good players that he failed to sign.

I certainly don't think that but it's hard to get away from the thought that this particular deal was heavily related to the Textor situation. It just seems way too much of a coincidence that we suddenly found some money from somewhere and decided to spend it on him of all people, only for him to find himself way out of the picture. Obviously I have no actual insight so could be miles off, but it seems very convenient to me that a club with no money decided it really wanted to sign 3 players from a club owned by a bloke who was trying to buy them.
