It’s interesting to see how that eleven functioned, but looked completely different when Beattie was brought in and replaced Bent.
We had Bent who was such a willing runner working defenders across the field but when asked to try and hold up the ball, had immediate support from the 4 midfielders, particularly Cahill who wanted to get beyond him.
