James McCarthy

Bit worrying for us fans to read about the rumours of any of our best players leaving. But from the little i've seen, the media just seem desperate to bring us down. I think Man United and their fans have started to get a bitter taste in their mouths over us as well. We did the double over them last season, our fans took the piss out of Moyes all season and they didn't like it.

They've brought in a supposedly great manager (we will still have to wait and see how he does), and they think they are back. They've got rid of "little Everton's" Moyes and now they're going to be back dominating us for years is how them lot will see it.

James McCarthy is absolutely vital for Everton if we're going to challenge at the top for the next 10 years. We've got one of the best spines to a team in the league who are all young

Stones
McCarthy
Barkley
Lukaku

The media hate what we're doing and clubs like Man United do too.

Can't wait for the season to start and us to silence the doubters for yet another season.

This is a great time to be an Evertonian. We shouldn't let anyone try and bring us down. McCarthy will stay.

United will obviously do more transfer business, this is hollower than Mourniho's comments that Chelsea were finished in the transfer window... before buying Drogba and selling Lukaku.

I only see McCarthy as a potential panic buy for them though, and even then, you would hope it would take plus £30 Million to have the board seriously consider it

Cheeky edit: And even then he's going nowhere

...James says he was resting during the summer, but I reckon he's been playing cricket for England under the alias Gary Balance. Like looking in the mirror.

Haha I've been thinking this for a while, especially when he's batting.
