New contract in the pipeline, not really news but better than hearing he's off to United every day.

I love McCarthy, he's a proper team player, it was because of him that Coleman had such a good season last season. He covered him everytime he went forward. Hope we get him tied into a long contract soon.

Not sure about that but I do know Hamilton waived a big chunk of the selling-on fee they were entitled to to make sure the transfer went ahead.
Seeing that's what a lot of the smaller clubs rely on, it's good to see they were putting an ex-players career before their own club. Shows the genuine affection he's held in up here and there are some other clubs trying to do the decent thing in this mercenary age.
