James McCarthy

I think £20m is a fair price for him tbh, he's boss off the ball but he doesn't have enough going for him on the ball to make him worth more than £20m.

having said that I don't want us to sell him.

Why are people saying "throw in A+ B + £800 million and we'll talk" he's not going anywhere ffs.

Stop believing every shred of gossip in the rags especially when it involves us losing a player to Spurs.

Throw Doc Emmet Brown in there so he can build a time machine.
Go back and throw Bale, Modric, Hoddle, Ledly King, Sol Campbell & Jurgen Klinsmann in their and we have a deal

Failing that Ericsson and Lloris instead

Would be loath to loose him for any price if im honest especially to Spurs - that would be the most gauling thing for me - they are a direct rival to be competitive for the CL, Utd Arsenal or Chelsea i could understand.

Hes one of our best players and isnt close to topping out at his baseline potential.

I would wrath if this happened.

All that said though, a cheeky take it or leave it offer of McCarthy + say £10M (certainly no more) for Eriksson?

Think we'd cope better without McCarthy than they would without Eriksson and we'd have a top number 10.

*awaits abuse*

There are some players who are replaceable. Some who are not.

I think McCarthy is too integral to the team and how it functions on the pitch to be sold to anyone at the moment.

Ryan Mason + Aaron Lennon + £15 million = Deal
