I don't really see what Dembele offers to a team, yet people really seem to rate him.

I'd take young Ryan Mason over him every time.

You see, its only match of the day type fans who do rate him....he scores the odd wonder goal, and has a top sounding foreign name.

Those that watch many of their games (and many on here will claim to watch loads) will see that Ryan Mason clearly offers more.

I think he's a excellent player to be honest. Always available, always keeps it ticking over, never gives the ball away and shows that touch of class every now and again. I think if he produced those magic moments a little more people would take more notice of him. Having said the that mate don't trust my opinion. I really rate Morrison at WBA haha

It's funny I always think the same thing. Having said that, from their starting team last year I think really only Lloris, Erikson, Dembele and Kane (based on last seasons form) would walk into our team no questions asked. I think on our day we are just as good as the season before last proved. They just consistently play at a higher lever then us which I suppose shows them to be a better team

I hear non-Everton fans say similar about our players.

Think its common myself, as most fans only really watch MOTD and Highlight type TV Shows, so McCarthy and Mason will not really get much time, their job is not MOTD worthy really.

They were managed better last season, not saying the manager is better.

I would have morrison any day too, busy player, Hard worker and a fab shot on him too.
My middle son supports Spurs and he thinks Dembele doesnt do enough, Disappears in games and considering his size is lightweight when it matters. Not for me !!!

I don't know if I agree with you to be honest mate. In terms of other teams I and probably the majority of people on this forum watch every match on sky and BT, short of people going out of their way to stream every other game being played I don't know how anyone can have any more of a knowledge of teams other then us as they wouldn't go to games to see the game as opposed to just watch TV coverage shows be it live or highlights

That's fair enough, I'm sure your son watches more Spurs games then I do

In terms of other teams I and probably the majority of people on this forum watch every match on sky and BT, short of people going out of their way to stream every other game being played I don't know how anyone can have any more of a knowledge of teams other then us as they wouldn't go to games to see the game as opposed to just watch TV coverage shows be it live or highlights

Well Spurs played 55 games, and had about 20 of them live. Its not even half the games.

To be honest Im surprised nobody has made a move for Morrison

It's all opinions after all mate, I just remember watching him thinking he was more of a Cleverley than a defensive or attacking mid. Which is fine, but we've already got Cleverley on a free. Mason was top class against us on the final day of the season, and impressed me in the other games I watched him in.

i understand that, I was referring to people on this forum who would only have watched the same amount of Spurs games as me as opposed to the bluenosebolts son for example

Same with lets say Spurs fans about us, Many of them saying £10-£15 Million for McCarthy....us saying £30 million.

McCarthy: we MUST keep him. People appreciate him now but I think we will only truly miss him after he's gone. Does the dirty work that allows others to do the things that people actually notice.

When Real Madrid let Claud Makelele go and bought Beckham in 2003 Zidane was quoted as saying "why put another layer of gold paint on the Bentley when you are losing the entire engine".

In short: pay McCarthy what he wants so that he will stay.

Although I suppose if we do sell him we may be able to give Mirallas a new contract. Then he will be able to afford another layer of gold paint for his Bentley. Lol!!
