the player is mediocre at best, it appears we still have money left over for january, however with him and barry coming in i cannot see room for another midfielder.
 
I still don't know much about him, but I'm excited to see what he can do - hopefully he'll bring a bit of drive to the midfield, something we've lacked so far this season.
 
McCarthy and Barry both turned down that lot too. The Derby is going to be sweet when we get into money bags XI and take those three points.
 
Martinez knows this player....hes our manager and we have to trust his judgement right now. if he turns out to be a dud or even average, then our problems will be far greater than just having overpaid for a young player....it will mean that we have a manager who is a poor judge of a player, and for a club with a tight budget that just won't work.

Cheers mate much appreciated. What are your opinion on Kone? I´ve liked what I´ve seen so far but many Evertonians think he´s garbage.
 

Yes we paid over the odds but that was covered by Man U paying over the odds for Felli.

IMO Felli was a 25m player we got an extra 2.5m.

IMO McCarthy is a 10m player we paid 13m so 0.5m over paid.
 
Good player but just needs to add a bit more creativity and (I hate to say it) 'penetration' to his game. Needs to help create more chances and score a few more goals - Felli is a big loss in terms of being a threat in the opposition half. if he adds these attributes instead of just acting as a deep-lying playmaker (which we have Gibbo for) - i'm sure he'll be a top player for us!
