In his first year i thought he was a potential captain,For the last 18 months he's been a potential captain fecking Pugwash,
Can't see how he's going to fit in under Koeman, A decent offer comes,we should cash in.

He would indeed but I'm not sure he would settle for that. You have to respect that he wants to play games, the lad obviously cares about the right things and not just claiming a wage.

I think a few of the posts on here have been needlessly disrespectful towards him. He was bought to do a job and he did that excellently in his first year. Most players regressed in Martinez's tenure and he alone shouldn't be singled out for that. I still think he has a role to play for us, especially if we get a run in the cups.

Re the comments on his international allegiance, I think that's more an Ale House topic than a football one.

If we can sign a more creative and forward minded midfielder (not expecting a "marquee" signing either !!) then as the lad wants regular games he has to probably move from EFC . At the moment he is a squad player not an automatic first team choice.

McCarthy +£10m for Sissoko
Celtic can do one looking for a loan.Ya don't loan £20m+ players! They couldn't afford the £3m loan free + wages anyway.

I'd keep him. And he is right to KO when Cleverly gets paid more. Sell that little quilt. Surely Hull or Sunderland would have him for £6-8m?

Problem with cleverly is the stupid contract and wages brown shoes gave him !
