James McCarthy is a very good midfielder and it's sad that he can't play as much as he should.
I think quite few on here would disagree, including me.
Never rated the guy. Headless chicken, runs around a lot but offers very little.

Luckily for us, it seems like a few clubs are will to spend decent more to buy him, get rid in January.

I think McCarthy is a very good player and when fit will be in the team most of the time.

Fitness however is the issue.

The guy has played over 100 games for Everton. In 4 seasons, he's hardly a cripple.

What have you seen in them 4yrs to say he should be in our team?
He doesn't score, he doesn't assist. His passing is average, he's not a great defensive midfielder.

We have upgraded him with gana and schneiderlin. And are they good enough for Everton to seriously challenge at the top. I'm not so sure. So that's how far McCarthy is away from playing for a top team. Bottom half With Wigan was his level.
