Iwobi played 149 games for Arsenal, yet he's crap.

Tom Davies has played 151 games for Everton, yet he's crap.

The Spurs team under Poch were miles better than the Everton and Arsenal sides those pair were getting in mate.

Im just saying none of us have watched him on more than a few occasions so cant be having meltdoons over the lad when he's played for an often top 4 side and been capped ten times for England - how many caps does skateboard kid have?

There really isn't anybody that's too crap for Everton according to you. Every dosser we are linked with you tie yourself in knots trying to explain why, even though you wouldn't sign them yourself, can do a great job for us.

Winks would want big wages, Spurs would want a decent size fee. If he is who we spunk our budget on then we really are a shambles.

Thats more down to fans.

Ok, I'll xhange it.

We'll get more points this season than last.

Our points total last season was 59.

Since Moyes left, only in 13-14 (72) and 16-17 (61) did we get more.

Basically, we'd do well to - and we should have got loads more last year and the reason we didn't was a shocking second half of the season but it wasn't a 'normal' campaign.

Gutted I won’t get to see him play for us, the lad is a very classy footballer. Unfortunately, it just hasn’t fit with us for some reason.

Thing is it has fit. He directly contributed to 15 goals in 26 games for us last season. He's in no way been a failure.

It's just classic Everton to rip it all up and throw the baby out with the bathwater. We did it with Rooney after 17-18 when arguably he was our best player that season by some distance (and James is better now than Rooney was then).

The issue is his fitness but we knew that going into it, it's why we were able to get him. Not one squad of the teams we'll be competing with has a player of the difference-making quality that James has, but we're going to throw it away.

It's not that he might leave that's disheartening either, it's that for some reason it looks like we're not even going to try and make use of him while he's still here.

I bet you moaned when we won the FA Cup in 95 or finished 4th with such crap players who couldn't ping 60 yard hollywood balls... oh wait.

I know all about decent players and welcome them at the club, but this one is adding next to nothing on the field of play and is disrupting the team's preparations for the start of the season.

Dont pretend that it's all about those wanting good football and those who are happy with a long ball. I can tell you i definitely dont fall into the latter category. I just dont support any player taking the piss as he's done last season and looks like he'd take into this season.
Next to nothing on the field of play? - most creative player last season?

Taking the piss? - how?

Disrupting the preparation? - also how?
