as James' follower... i have been to both Madrid and Bayern forums during his stint there..... it's just the same for all message board... most members mood are dictated by the result of every game or the players output.. nothing is different here in GOT, though i thought at first GOT maybe different.

We probably are a lot more quick to jump on our players back the minute we face defeat. I don’t think he was very good yesterday. I don’t think Fulham allowed him to do anything but I also felt like he (as with others) could have done more to get involved. I just don’t think he likes getting stuck in and getting drawn into a dogs of war battle, it’s not his style.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a good game against City who will hopefully allow us more time on the ball.

This was exactly the problem yesterday. We didn’t get in behind enough if at all. Not a single one of the 11 played even remotely well yesterday.

Yep. After 7/8 minutes it was obvious that we were going to completely do an Everton to ourselves.

Hard enough carrying 1 or 2 players whi are having an off day.......when you've got 8/9 you've got no chance and Fulham deserved to win by more tbf

Honestly if you stick James behind Richarlison and King yesterday INSTANTLY Fulham have to defend against our attack.

It was a tactical and strategic mistake from Carlo but we still had enough quality to perform better.

James was the best of the worst bunch.

The only players trying to play forwards were Davies who looked to turn and pass just couldn’t quite find the quality and Coleman who tried to carry the ball on his own a couple of times.
Then they were both substituted and James had no one moving or looking forward at all, even Digne kept stopping at the half way and going sideways because he didn’t have anything in front of him.

Yes, you could see the frustration as he was scanning left and right waiting for width and an overlapping team mate. Without width we are toothless almost without exception.

Particularly maddening when we had King, Iwobi and Bernard on the bench, none of whom played the whole game against Spurs

Exactly and all of them offer width. King has the blistering pace too although that is no longer a prerequisite of a modern day wide forward. Rich is good in the air so why not use this asset.

As a James fan and Colombian
I follow James since he was in Madrid, he always have a characteristics that be him in a class world player, like the pass, shot, ball control, etc...
When he arrives to the 'Toffes' i´m very happy for him, 1 year in madrid damage his career, but he seen very happy to return to play.
Everton against Fulham was very worst, and i think that James was the second or the third best in this game. He plays bad, obviously, but was one of the most noted in the game, i think that he likes the club that he´s playing, and he plays with much of tenacity...
For the everton, i think that the problem is that in the midfielder can´t put James, Andre Gomez and Sigurdsson in the same team, the three are good players but in the defense and attack are very different, James not defended, also Sigurdsson, and what happened if you put 2 creative players that not defended?
For me, or James or Sigurdsson
