I'd go a lot further than levels. He's light years ahead of the rest of them. Weight of pass, fearless on the ball, always moving about and can finis with both feet.
OK, I'll get fierce abuse here. He scored the goal, fair enough, but was he as good tonight, as being suggested in the forum ? . The stats would be interesting. First half , he was not in the game imo , and again, beside the goal , created by Digne and Seamus, he wasn't all that in the second half, fitness seems to be a regular problem for him.

Gone from setting up Ronaldo and Benzema and seeing them slot chance after chance. To Dominic Calvert Barlow missing sitter after sitter.

He scored the goal after starting the play in midfield (which he was doing quite a bit playing deeper today), opening the field to Digne and then finished his goal with a perfect touch to beat a defense that has men in position to defend.

God damn injuries.
My all time favourite player Ronaldo (not the Portuguese tart), the greatest striker in the sport post Pele, a man who single-handledly could light up a game (which I saw him do routinely at Barca and Inter), was ruined when his knee exploded.
Kaka, mesmeric how he seemed to glide past players before injuries robbed him of this ability.
James. The talent is immense, but after a series of injuries he has the body of a man six years older. We will only ever see fleeting moments before he breaks down again.

JR is a fantastic footballer, but he is not relevant for any top clubs in Europe. The reason is simple: He lacks the necessary intensity in his game, too often slightly injured, and is too expensive. If we are to build a competitive squad, he is the type we must steer clear of.
Too expensive ?. There are a number of wasters at the club who are far more "expensive" than him , and he is in a different league mate.
