Carlo says ignore the rumours, James is committed.
I hope he is right, but I'm not totally convinced. Time will tell.

Martinez gets a lot of stick for playing him while injured and "ruining McCarthy" but your post is spot on.I remember being intensely frustrated that James McCarthy kept on playing for his national team when he was half fit and then having to miss several Everton games because he had aggravated his injury.

People dont have much sympathy for mental health of footballers, but I totally agree that this might be an issue, and same for Richy too. Being away from home, when your country is suffering so much must be hard. Normally they would have friends and family around them, or be back home with their people more frequently.I wonder if the strife in Colombia has affected his headspace? I know he's very committed to his homeland. Fatigue can be mental too. As an American the upheaval here has affected me.
He has already been ruled out this weekIf he turns out v man city then i get it. Sheff utd wolves and city is 3 games in 7 days. At no point when we signed him did i think his body can handle that. Thats how we got him.
If he doesnt turn out v city. Then it throws up a question mark.
Which would be basically the same as saying a player wouldn't be available for the next match. It's empty promises.I agree no manager in world football is to prevent his players from participating with their national team but Ancelotti could have been a bit more sober with his statement. He could have said something like our expectations is that Colombia’s National federation make the best decision for the player and don’t risk playing him if his calf continues to bother him.
I know a lad who had to travel from the south to do specialist work in the H&W shipyardsThe upheaval there is going to last a long time mate. Non whites have been traumatised on that landmass for 400 years, from the treatment of the subhuman Native people (“savages”) onward. The upheaval is just beginning as the white dominated narrative is ending.
There’s a degree of similarity here (Northern Ireland), except the issue here is religion. I am definitely affected as is everyone that lives here, and it’s most noticeable when I travel to southern Ireland where people are far less confrontational. As a Catholic I didn’t knowingly speak to a Protestant for 18 years. We live(d) in ghettos. This place was created as “a Protestant state for a Protestant people”.

Fact is, it's extremely poor that he didn't even bother turning up for the first time fans were allowed in the stadium. Even if he really WAS injured, how much would it hurt to simply walk the fn lap of Goodison?
I've never gotten a name on any shirt, I got the amber one for my birthday a month ago. Guy is magic but that's a complete joke of an attitude towards people that absolutely want to see him play. I absolutely cannot how we, as a club, would allow a player to pick and choose when he plays because that's exactly what we are doing.
He has already been ruled out this week
Or perhaps the issue is that they have dried up?I'm starting to think those bottles of Echo Falls weren't the best welcome present.
