2021/22 James Rodriguez

What has he actually done since or before those 5 games in 2014, where everything he hit was a goal.

He's only shown his so called class consistently in the farmer's leagues of Portugal and France, never got those shouts this guy was world class, he flopped at both Real and Bayern, he's the Colombian version of Salvatore Schilacci or Roger Milla and he's dined on those 5 games in Brazil since.

This post just illustrates that you have no clue what you're talking about, and therefore discredits anything else you have to say.

When James joined us, he was one of only three midfielders in Europe's top five leagues to have racked up over 50 goals and 50 assists since the 2013/14 season. That's despite his patchy injury record. The other two were Di Maria and Ericksen. Not bad for a player who was "never, ever world class."

Those are indisputable facts, not an opinion distorted by an agenda.

You should stick to posting in your favourite thread, where you can continue to praise the RS (amazing how much knowledge you have on them) while having little digs at Everton, venting your hatred of Man City and just generally droning on about the petro dollar clubs, wages, turnover and all the other fascinating stuff you post.

He’s more than happy to take Everton’s money, but can’t be arsed seeing who his teammates are playing next. No doubt he’ll be shipped off to Turkey, Russia or Portugal while the club covers most of his wages.

I just hope the manager is flexible enough to be able to incorporate him into the side, as he's not most effective out side and we seemingly don't play with a number 10 attacking midfield player. It is criminal to not use somebody of James' talent if it's available to you.
Yeah really interesting to see what happens.
Obviously a lack of a quick younger overlapping right back closes down some options.

Wonder if Rondon was brought in as part of the equation, like Dom and Iwobi are subbed for James (AM) and Rondon (9) with Richarlison moving to left and Grey on right; Rondon adding more physicality than Dom to allow James to play more centrally.

If that is the case the combination of CMs becomes crucial. You don't really want Doucs in the way, Allan would be better linking in and around James but Doucs isn't really an anchor. JPG and Allan might be a better combination.

Hahahahahaha amazing

article in the Athletic this morning, James' wages has now gone up!!!

I quote: "North of £200k a week"

This is the same writers that this time last year were saying it was around the £120k mark. Incredible scenes.

@LouReedwalkonthewildside

They've obviously been visiting GOT Toff.

Benitez likes 'facts'

I never blamed him at all. I asked you a question on whose role it is to get players performing and whose fault it was.

You blamed Keane for us not having 9 point out of 9. Last season we had 9 points out of 9 and Keane and James played.

Now you have brought another excuse about crowd noise. When my understanding is that the crowd has been behind the team other than a few boos at half time vs Southampton?

I think we're going to be hearing a lot of excuses used for Benitez over the season mate. It will be everyone else's fault but his.

Benitez has been getting praised to the hilt for our start to the season, yet those people who are praising him are already having a pop at lads who will criticise him after a defeat even before it's happened. At the end of the day if he is praised for a win then he can rightly be criticised for a loss (unless that loss was out of hands)

You should be aware that the man whose name we can not name is quite high up on this list, and is among other things ranked higher than David Silva. For the last 7 seasons, he and JR are exactly the same in the statistics when counting goals and assists. So it's nice to know that we have two of the world's best players the last 7-8 seasons in the squad, but sad that none of them get to play.

I mean chasing managers out the door has really helped push the club on mate these past 7 years.

Anyone who criticises the manager for losing a game this season in the circumstances we find ourselves in (£1.5m transfer spend/transition season) is a bad ted.

You already witness the cult in the match day threads salivating when we aint cruising in the hopes we slip up.

So you can bang one out and cream your kecks over Benitez when we win, but no one is allowed to criticise him (and will be a bad Ted :hayee:) if we lose. I remember when you used to be alright mate, now you're just a loon.

Valid criticism such as team selection / tactics etc is perfectly fine but we all know that a minority will use any attempt to stir things up to suit their anti Benitez agenda.

And I loved you back then and still do now Lou regardless of your Team James Membership lol
