I have to agree with you, Dave. As soon as Ancelotti went it was pretty obvious James would more or less down tools until he went too. He doesn't get on with his new manager and he'll be a divisive presence.
ASAP we need him out. Morale will suffer otherwise and we need that cash saving on wages to bring a player in.

But where have you seen this, I havnt heard Benitez actually say it, have you ?
He could have easily said I want more from you, you won't be getting off for half the season, we need players to play, James has then taken that to say he's not wanted... No one knows really.
in my view, James don't want to give the fat manager the opportunity to oppress him for the 2nd time.... once is enough in madrid!

Dowell?

Nah. Good player.
I've always liked Dowell and have often defended him in here. In the end I think he made the right decision to go because the managers we've had here were never going to trust him enough to give him the playing time he needed to develop. But he's 23 now and spent the majority of last season sitting on the bench in the Championship.

James, on the other hand, had won the World Cup golden boot and was first choice playmaker for the biggest club in the world at the same age.

As for walking from Ormskirk everyday, we all know he didn't need to because the very comfortable contract he was on from the age of 17 would have easily financed a nice Audi Quattro thank you very much.

Get half that wage off the books and it finances a new player.

I can see another club - knowing the position we're in - leaving it to the last day of the window and saying "we'll take him on loan, but we'll only poay 50% of what he's on at Everton".
I asked you this before Dave but you didn't answer. What would we get for the money and would he deliver more than James does.?

We're talking £70k per week and no fee involved so probably a 1 year loan. £70k a week doesn't buy you much these days Dave. You won't get a top player like Coutinho for twice that amount. You may get a young player on the up, but that would be taking a risk as they don't often work out on loan. Otherwise you are looking at an average premier league player. He'll play more games than James but will he deliver more in those games than James ?

We have a genuine world class player on our books for the first time since whenever, and some people on here are falling over themselves to get shut. Go figure.

Show me when he has ever downed tools or been a divisive personality at any of his previous clubs. He hasn't.

You are just making things up to fit your narrative.

So from Benitez arriving on 30th June to now you wouldn't have any opinion on if the manager wants Benitez?
How would we know ? How do we actually know anything except for James saying he wants to play where he's wanted. That can be taken a few ways. Either Benitez has said 'I don't want ya' or James has been told he has to work hard, stay off the social media and he has chosen to split. No one actually knows anything. I'm certainly not going to blame a manager who has been here 5 mins with the only info coming out is from the very media James has peddled.
As I have said before, Club comes first. He won't be here in a few weeks and we all still will be. Better to back the FSW than a fella who has shown nothing in regards to wanting to play here still.
Only an opinion like.

I'm refering to using the cash saved on James to fund a RB, not a like for like player.

This will happen, so it's pointless asking me to justify it when the decsion will be made by those in charge of team affairs anyway.

So it's James choice then, I Didn't think it came from Benitez.
don't play innocent it does not suit you... of course James has a choice and he wants out of the club due to the spaniard waiter....
Benitez will be here and just starting... he will not definitely say things vocally against a player but it does not make him a saint..

I loved the fact that we signed Rodriguez and he was literally the most talented passer of a football with extraordinary vision that I've seen in a blue shirt.

The reality is that he was on a private jet on his way to Colombia as his Italian cheese munching mentor just wasn't arsed anymore as we prepared for a potential Europe deciding game. Loads of fans sticking up for him .... Forgetting the rage they felt when iwobi was pictured getting on a private jet "at the end of the season".

The club needs a reset, Rodriguez is akin to mirallas, Schneiderlein, Gylfi, Gomes, Iwobi, Bernard, in the "I love money but I'm not really bothered if I lose or don't play" stakes.

Let Rafael continue to be the panto villain for some ..... He's gonna get our club professional again.
