It was a crap move from James to put it on. I don’t have an issue with him not playing cause he was injured.

Here is my rant about James

I am so disappointed on this dude. I felt like he always got an exaggerated bad rep, even if there was some truth to it. The good old he doesn’t run, he is a diva, he is a luxury player, etc. I always felt that while there was some truth to it, it was good old stereotypes because the dude performed on the field

but this last year has been a horror movie for this dude. He takes the last few weeks of the season off thinking about Colombia and Copa America and I thought that when he got sent home packing, he would wake up. He would go train and prove people wrong

instead he spent the summer working his social media. He met with celebrities and was traveling in the u.s posting pics everywhere.

Dude just doesn’t get it. You are not interesting. You are not cool. You are not a good talker. Nobody cares about your opinions in anything. You are famous because you can be good at football when your arse is up to it. Once that stops, your fan base will disappear. You will get old and the girls will find some other good looking celebrity to drool about. Get your [Poor language removed] together or just retire so we can all move on with our lives both as an Everton and Colombia fan

Nicely said. He was obviously great in the first half of the season and played like he cared. I gave him a pass in the second half because I figured he wasn't 100%.

I don't really expect an footballer to care about a football club - its a business, and if he wants to go somewhere else, thats fine. But respect the fans who spend the time and pay money to watch the game. I bought a James shirt when he signed last year. I could do without him disrepecting the club.

It’s very hard to figure out exactly what Benitez is trying to say at his press conferences, but it seemed from that one that he isn’t going to consider playing James until the transfer window closes.

Then he will either be in his plans or gone.

When Rafael said he's in my plans until August 31st, I interpreted that as I have plans for him (to sit) until he gets transferred.

He's definitely gone unless Atletico pull out some unforseen move. Usually most clubs if the business isn't done early - they wait till the last minute to register. But the deal is effectively done which is why he's sitting out games.

It's posted on a lot of media sites . The quote about him not knowing who we are playin that is. I'd believe it over him commenting on a player he probably never heard of anyway

It’s likely that when he was streaming there would have been thousands of viewers. It’s highly unlikely to be a false allegation because if it was then other people who were watching that stream would have come out to defend James and as far as I can tell no one has done that.

So is the accusation basically:
James is streaming live to fan, one asks if about the weekend fixtures, and he asks the live audience if some could help him out with who Everton are playing?

I mean it’s not great, is it? But some people just want to fume over the smallest thing these days. The guy has his bags packed and ready to leave… waiting for the clubs to sort out the money and paperwork.

I said when benitez came he would make some unpopular decisions to benefit the atmosphere at the club. Work shy mercenaries are an absolute hinderance to a team that requires all hands to the pump.

I've worked with senior managers who were serving their notice - unbelievable how unprofessional the work environment becomes when people who were looked up to suddenly become disinterested ....... It literally is a green flag for others to take their foot off the pedal.

It's undeniable that he wants him gone - and I can't see why James wouldn't want to go, too.

But there needs to be a willing club at the other end, and James needs to be ready to accept whatever package they offer him.

If we can't find another club for him, then it makes no sense to freeze him out and he'll get game time. I think that's the reality of the situation.

we shouldn't have a problem. It should never be a problem using someone of James' quality.

We really, really are not blessed with it and probably won't be for a very long time. So if he stays, we use him, simple.
