If true it means that we learnt nothing from Gosling and are nearly as much as a shithouse as Garbutt would be "IF" he were to join that lot. Great time to be an Everton fan at moment, cant see it getting better this week either - now where's the cat, its about to get launched across the front room !

I think next season Besic will be at McCarthy's level having a year to settle.

For 17mil combined you cant ask for more!!

Barry and Gibson = Adios Asap

seeing as besic has managed to keep messi and bale very quiet this year for his national team, i reckon he could be a brilliant long term solution, as well as mccarthy. both don't offer a great deal going forward anyway and i would rather someone like ross next to them who will offer more in that sense. or play them all in a 3 of course.

the thing is, barry is more dependable regarding fitness compared to gibson, but gibson has a lot more years left as well as barry's form being utter cack this season. can't really choose between the two over who you'd rather have ha.

we need a squad, so we need players like barry and gibson around. just need them to stop underperforming or being injured. i think barry continually underperforming is less likely than gibson getting fit any time soon. sadly we don't have the finances to just ship them out and spunk £10m on good replacements.

You need your behind for ballast. You'd fall over without it. It's not a risk worth taking Finners.

We also have Baines, Osman and Barkley that can play there.

Gibson may as well go. He may be listed as a squad player but realistically hes always injured. Pointless having him around. I'd offer him 50% of his contract now to leave.

Barry is finished, again its no point having him around at this level. ship him out asap.

so if we're to believe all the rumours

McCarthy off to Spurs for £20m-£25m
Barkley off to City for £45m-£52m
Coleman off to Utd or Arsenal for £25m
Garbutt off the Liverpool for free at the end of the season

Despite how gloomy things may seem, I highly doubt that Kenwright and Martinez are about to sell off all of our best young players apart from Stones. I just can't see a realistic situation were we lose some or all of those players and keep Alcaraz, Distin, Pienaar, Gibson etc.

We play well, the media try and sell our best players, we play badly, the media try and sell our best players. Trying my best to keep up with all the hearsay and rumours on here.. are we actually genuinely worried about any of the rumours?

Our priority this window surely should be contracts for McCarthy, Mirallas and Garbutt, shipping out some deadwood and signing a goalkeeper, one if not two center backs and a winger/attacker.

Restore some balance to the team by playing players in their correct positions and we might just get something out of this season.
