.....Atsu has pace but hasn't been very good thus far. Pace is good as long as it's aligned to quality.

To be honest - I think we've all read about Atsu's pace rather than actually seen it - not seen him knock it past anybody and run past them yet.

Think he's a real upgrade in what we have as well more importantly. 8m for a first team winger would be really good value too.
I'm surprised by the price, pretty much the same as Jelavic and Anichebe but a far more skilful, younger and versatile player. Guess he is in the last two years of his contract but wonder if Arsenal will really sell him to us for that.

Wenger would still be reluctant to lose Campbell but having signed Danny Welbeck in the summer and with Olivier Giroud expected to return to fitness next month, the Frenchman may feel he has sufficient cover assuming they do not lose both Campbell and Podolski. Arsenal would prefer a loan deal but Olympiakos are keen to offer Campbell a permanent way out, with a figure of £7million thought to be enough to secure his signature.

Get Olympiakos to buy him and then loan him to us like Henen!

I wonder whether arsenal would sell him to us anyways, but he'd be ideal. Bit of faith a little confidence and we've got a real player on our hands.

Anyone saying "break the bank for ____" is crazy. We just broke the bank for lukaku, nearly doubling our record fee. I'd expect the next few windows will be very modest unless we sell to buy (or make CL).

Alot depends on when galloway and browning step up.

What we really need is a top notch winger to scare the opposition, a massive signing such as Deulofeu would be perfect.

Not saying him in particular but a signing such as him I terms of quality and potential.

Who would you go for in that position?
I'm not sure we need to buy potential in. Campbell, Perisic, Depay possibly, if we want a pie in the sky signing; Musa maybe. There are a few out there. If we are looking at 10-15m quid for that position I don't want us to pay a premium for potential. Plenty of Mirallas type wingers about if we care to look.

See reports suggesting we're to bid £7M for Joel Campbell in January.

Good move IMO especially with the Oviedo link, looked good in the World Cup and could be the winger we so desperately need.
