Luiz Adriano, Fabian Shar, Sergio Romero - all realistic targets.
Giovinco can play in the hole, Milner would be a smart addition, Fabian Delph would be cover but we have Besic, Huntelaar would be a great addition, Gignac at one point would of been smart but he made poor comments in the past and overhypes himself.

I was thinking the Gerrard, Alonso & Mascherano trio. The destroyer, the playmaker & the driving force. It was a cracking Midfield regardless fo them playing for the other lot, we have Barry (destroyer) Mccarthy is no Alonso but does his fair share of regaining possession, can barkley be the driving force ? Time will tell.
Im just joking mate, know what you mean!

but that is what we are going for now but we need besic to step into the barry role and be a snide at times as well as Mcarthy and Barkley interchanging with each other to push the midfield on. I believe we need two in the middle who can control things and McCarthy has impressed me enough to suggest he is a top talent and is capable of partnering someone like Barkely when he starts to devleop rapidly.

besic is mccarthy's replacement tbh. again, won't contribute many goals. diame should have been bought a couple of years back imo, he fitted the bill perfectly and has started to add even more goals to his name at hull. personally i think ross is that player for the future - with the way we started in defence, i'm not sure we could afford to be too attacking. the main role of our two centre mids is to break up play and start attacks, a bit different to a city style.

To be honest mate you have a good point, the thing for me is when plan A isnt working we need a plan B. Diame would of given us that, for all the 'he fits into our style' stuff seems fine until we need a different option. Every top team has a plan A and B.

From that list surprised no one is mentioning Gourcuff. Was labelled the next Zidane at one stage but didn't do it at Milan. Intelligent player, good passer and also gets a few goals. I suppose with Barkley and Naismith we have that position covered but still....

What are people's opinions on Ayew? Seen him a couple of times and thought he was decent. Huntelaar would give us a fantastic option up top. He's as clinical as they come. James Milner would be a fantastic signing too I think.

He will be going very cheap won't he with him stalling over a contract?
