Depay is miles better than Geri and scores a butt-load of goals. Not sure he'd come to us but it'd be a bit of a dream signing if he did.

I thought in the summer, when we enquired, the only reason he wouldn't come was because he was waiting for United to come in, I think he would come to get his name established in the Prem so that teams like United would see him and put an offer in. Also means he'd play out of his skin to impress

It's not like we've been spoilt by Howard or Robles as of late in this department, so if he commands his box and makes the saves I will be happy.

Really hope the Marshall rumours are true. He was my choice in the GK signing thread. Seems a brave keeper who actually stands up and makes a positive difference in games. Was outstanding against us and many other PL teams last year.

Plus he's 29, which is a good age. Old enough to be experienced but young enough to have at least another 5+ years in him.

30 is a fine age for a keeper. He has another five years in him. I still think we should be looking at 'better' quality, but I would be happy with him as competition for Howard

Is it just me who doesn't want us to splash out on Geri if we're gonna be getting a winger? Yeh he was exciting last season but sooo inconsistent and not in the physical shape for a full PL season yet. Personally be a bit disappointed.

He's really bulked out recently. He's been class for Sevilla when he's been put in the team.

Interesting words from Van Dijk on Sky Sports website. Says the club won't help him move this month although he sounds like he wants to but said he can wait till the summer. Think it's now or battle a ton of clubs in the summer for him if we like what we see.

Agreed, hes seems a good sort.

Think if we get him in, we could be seeing Tim koffing to the MLS at the end of the season personally.
