We're looking at Schurlle. Nothing concrete but we're interested - but it'd more than likely have to be a buy unless Atsu goes back to Chelsea, who want £15mil.

We'd have to pay him a huge salary. Plus his game is cutting inside and we are already a width challenged side. Would rather make an effort to buy Gerard and resign Mirallas if we are interested in that kind of player. Would be happy to be wrong if we bought him though.

yes mate. We had interest in Tadic last January but didn't make a bid - if you recall Tadic gave an interview this time last year where he said a club had interest but he didn't want to leave in Jan, while martinez complained of inflated prices. Twente wanted €15mil for him in Jan. In the summer we were interested - i've said this before - but our main target was Rom. We made a late bid of £10mil for Tadic, which is why Saints then upped their bid to closer to £12mil.
They were right then and have been reliable with a few other moves since - Alderweireld to Saints, Tadic's replacement - Ziyech - going to Twente from Herenveen.
I'd love this Schurlle thing to come here - he's just the type of player we need but it would seem to be a longshot at this point - we are interested though.
Because Mourinho isn't satisfied with him mate, and is willing to sell for the right amount (apparently).

Come home from work earlier, rags selling Coleman and Eto'o on the clubs behalf and then BBC sport reporting Arsenal should sign Stones via Joey Barton. Boss that.
However, the links of Eto'o packing his bags won't go away. In my eyes, the novelty has worn off. Off the wage bill and free's up a slot for a player who can come in. Very strange if he does go, but I think something has happened. Bad apple?
Would be good having Marshall coming in. Would be a great Everton goalkeeper. I'm all up for that if the rumours are true.
Think the squad would benefit from a left winger and a centre back. I think a defender is more of a priority in my eyes
