At least Del boy had pace which we lack at present.

I can't see us signing anyone, as has been stated numerous times RM doesn't like the January window.

Martinez doesn't like the January window, can't see him doing much.

Need a defender though
Hasn't he already mentioned that he believes we can rely on youth in the likes of Galloway to cover the defence department?

Hence, it's unlikely we'll improve there.... or most probably anywhere. As others have mentioned, a pacey winger would be gratefully received.

Come on lads, everyone knows that you cant get any value during the January transfer window, and that players are far cheaper during the summer.

I think Bobby is the type of manager that gets a hard on over a player, and will then sign him years later even if he isn't that good. That's why I think we are more likely to sign Tom Cleverly than Fabian Delph. We will become weaker over time if Bobby keeps doing this.

Logically the first signing should be a winger, deulofeu or someone similar. Deulofeu would bw my own first choice.

Next would be a centre midfielder so we have barry/besic/mccarthy and the new chap with barry gradually making way for ledson.

Third would be a top class keeper, imagine havinf a courtois or a de gea.

Would be an odd signing.

Martinez is in love with him and he will be on a free transfer, so you can almost guarantee that he will be at Everton next year. The problem is that this level of player is nowhere near the standard that is required to break in to the top four.

McGeady, Alcaraz, Kone, Besic, Cleverly; none are anywhere near good enough to be playing for a top four team.

Not really he chased him throughout the summer but narrowly missed out on deadline day.

Can see him doing a mcgeady type deal with United in January

Villa have paid United to have him on loan for the entire season, but we will sign him for free next summer. I'm just getting worried about us signing all these lower mid table players, they're just nowhere near good enough for a side who supposedly want to break into the top four.

Howard
Robles
Distin
Hibbert
Alcaraz
Osman
Gibson
Pienaar
Mcgeady
Kone

None of them are up to 4th place level. Besic though needs a season.
