Disappointed with Aaron Lennon to be honest. I don't see how he's an improvement to McGeady/Atsu to be honest. Would rather stick with either McGeady/Atsu as they know the team better. Relieved it's only a loan. Is he even fit to play?

i'd be a better bet than Atsu !.he couldn't be as ineffective as that lad could he ???

Good luck to Lennon.

At least he knows what the premier league is about.

The onus now is on Martinez and how he uses him in my opinion.

Real fun evening.Various posters pass on media rumours about players that the club has never considered. We all trudge off to bed bitterly disappointed the club didn't sign said players.Repeat twice yearly.

My problem with it is, its another average player added to the squad, its another unimaginative signing from Martinez....one or two is fine but suddenly our squad is being filled with average players not good enough for top 6 teams (which is what we're suppose to be).....

Robles, alcaraz, kone, mcgeady, Lennon, atsu....

Had hoped Martinez knowledge of world football would have lead to better than that....moyes was regularly pulling coup signings out of nowhere...arteta, mirallas, fellaini, pienaar, Cahill, lescott, Coleman, Baines.....all bargains and all great signings for us....Martinez scouting system doesn't seem to be up to much....

Why just ignore the fact that Moyes signed some awful players too, and also ignore the good players Martinez has signed? Martinez has brought in a few quality players and quite a few average squad fillers too.

Unfortunately we have to be realistic, we don't have the money to buy proven quality every time. You're in dreamland if you think we can have 22 quality players in our squad.

as well as the fact moyes had 11 years to make all these signings and martinez has had 1 and a half years. of course moyes' list will be longer

I'm bitterly disappointed there was no fish puns, ruined the January transfer window.

Sorry to see Lennon leave personally. What you will get is a high work rate and a guy that doesn't shirk his defensive duties.
The main criticism usually levelled at him is his lack of final ball.

Good luck Azza.
That's good. I wasn't aware that he was hard worker. In fairness most speedy wingers have poor final ball. He's better than McGeady which is the main thing and hopefully we'll improve again in the summer and get rid of McGeady.

Not a bad window, considering we were linked with selling McCarthy and Mirallas and kept both.

I think there is work to be done in the summer, probably two wide players coming in and a central defender. I think Distin, Pienaar and Gibson will go and probably Mirallas too.

I am glad we got Lennon in, hopefully the manager will get £30m to £40m in the summer, based on the new TV money
McCarthy and Mirallas and before that Ross and Coleman. I do have a feeling that we might get Konoplanyka in the summer on a more or less free which would give is a decent team for next season and good load of money to put towards a new stadium. If we sell McGeady then and buy Lennon we might not even loose too much there either.

4m for McGeady? Can't see any team paying more than 2. Don't think he's worth more than 1.
McGeady is the only one I can see us getting anything for but I think 4m would be fair. We could even push it up 6m. The lower clubs have difficulty attracting players and he would be good for them. After all we did get 6m for Vic.
