....agree it wouldn't make sense, unless RM has a couple of forwards lined up for January or if he's expecting the knee might go again.

He's got something to offer us for the last half of the season i reckon. He's a different striker to Eto'o and Lukaku, so now that he's fit, its definitely worth keeping him.

Ok, I am going to stick my head up here and say that I don't really care if we don't bring anyone in Jan.
I take the longer term view and generally it is hard to pick up a bargain in Jan. For a club with limited transfer money I'd want to spend it more wisely in the summer. Second point is that it is always takes time for a player to integrate into the team and (if foreign) the EPL. So, again, Jan is not a great time to sign someone. Sure, if there is a bargain to be had or a very specific need then fine but otherwise I'd rather be patient.
Only exception would be if we could get Del Boy back as he has been with us before, is "proven" and I think he brings something different to the team (that direct running style and ability to get in behind defences).
