Those 4 would certainly improve the starting 11 with Mirallas, Besic, Sandro, Barkley and Klaassan out the door on either permanent deals or loans with option to buy.

Just going off the jarg Italian and Spanish paper rumours, we've been offered both Turan on the cheap by Barca, and Gaitan is being shopped around by Athletico, given they'd probably cost a third of what walcott would, and both miles better, rather do that route as a 2-3 year stop gap

Given we seem to lack any structure to implement a structure of hoovering up top young talent, looking to pay slightly over the odds (for European teams) for players coming to the end of the careers from Europe is actually not a bad option at all. You can pick up some really talented players, who still have 2-3 years left at the top for a fraction of the price. Turan, Gaitan and Nzonzi all probably fit easily into this category.
