Yeah, I seen it and fair play i wasn't aware of that so my apologies but my point still stand of you chatting bs. The loan by all intensive purposes is just a standard business practice and as someone else raised will be more likely to adhere to ffp rulings.

What you are insinuating is we need this loan money to pay for tosun along with the barkley money. Otherwise what id like to call chatting bs.

Tell you what though if we come out of this window with negative net spend I will post a apology on here

If you read my original post i said suggest and suspect. In other words i don’t know. I don’t assert anything. Actually if you see i posted it before finishing it.

Do i think that we are flush with available cash to spend on transfers but still borrow 13.5 million (a relatively small amount in today’s transfer market and in terms of our recent transfer spend) before the transfer window, at a commercial interest rate over 8 months then the answer is no.

The relative speed of the Tosun deals means that we had a fair idea that it was happening. Same for Ross which means that we at least knew in financial terms what we needed.

It costs money to borrow and seems strange if it’s not necessary.

I don’t suggest that we will end with a negative net spend. I don’t say that in my post.

I don’t even say that we needed it for Tosun.

So to be frank your original post was based on an incorrect fact and your second post does little to justify your original position.

But hey, if you can’t simply accept you got something wrong that’s fine.

If someone told me 3 years ago we’d sell Mirallas and Barkley for £19m I’d have laughed in your stupid faces.

We are losing money hand over fist here.

God knows the loss we’ll make on Klaassen.

In the last two years we've sold all four of my favourite current Everton players .

Gutted by this. What an everton weekend.

I think the only way I see us going after Walcott is if we have a plan to part with Lennon now, potentially loan out at least Vlasic next season and, most importantly, we see Walcott as being our #2 striker option in addition to playing on the wing. I also think it would rule us out going after a striker in the summer.

The issue isnt that we have quality wingers(yet), its that we have too many for the young ones to develop if we bring Walcott in. Keep in mind that would mean next season Walcott and Bolasie would be the starters, with likely Onyekeru as the third man, with Lookman as #4 option. No sense in keeping 5 so that means Vlasic out on loan to hope he develops.
Vlasic is a number 10 mate.
