Just one example frandel.

To also go with all the trophy wins that, alas, have eluded 'Bainesy'.

I agree with you there mate.

Bily: No trophies

Baines: No trophies

OH right so, by your logic, because he never won any trophies in an average team, he was crap?? He was not as good as Billy?

Does that also apply to Socrates, shackleton, Defoe, Les Ferdinand, Tim Cahill, Le Tissier - all never won a major trophy in their careers.

okaaaaayy theeen

None of them are anything special Tbf

Squad is too big mate, loans look like being the biggest means of getting players out oin order to get players in.

No tin hat scenario here bruv

yeah ok.

our squad is full to the brim of premier league players isn't it, our bench is better than cities!

we need to get players out to free up wages.

as in every other window

What has that got to do with it? You said we were having to sell to buy when the article clearly states the squad is too big and we need to get rid of people (mostly loan) in order to accomodate new players

file under 'B' for Bin then.

I think hes a really interesting player...if you get a chance watch his finishes for porto and Portugal...world class.

Last season really he looked immense, something about him for that fee didn't quite feel right to me though.

If we had signed him in summer this place would have gone into meltdown...honestly he looked that good....like a potential future ballon d'or winner if he kept improving.

Kanchelskis was better for us than in Italy, same with bergkamp and others...and vice versa.

25mil could be a bargain...or swap with cash and klaassen.

"insert amusing comment about Allardyce and signing a big fish from a small pond"

I'm saying the article is BS.

if we had money we would be able to buy in first and then loan out whoever we wanted on the final day.

that is not how we are operating tho is it.

LOL he lost before it started

All better than Billyaletdinov

You've bitten hard here...

It is impossible to argue the point of fact that a player has benefitted a team...even if we were winning titles he would simply ask for a direct correlation of performances and wages and how they affect the trophy wins...

Then how to compare his value? its a perceived value...

Everything is about expectations and perceived values...

Marinate on that...
