What young player in the past 20 years or so has ever been bought directly into a 'big' team mate - usual progression is a mid table side then on from there isn't it really?
Be like United or Chelsea buying a player from Malmo, a German second division side or a championship side as their starting fullback,, just don't see it happening

What we should really be doing mate is buying these players at source. Once they get into the premier and make a bit of a name for themselves their price goes up fivefold or more.
Haven't seen that much of Doucoure but happy to take your opinion of him. But you see it in the likes of Mane, Mahrez, VVD, Lanzini, Antonio, Kante and many more. Doucoure would probably cost £30m plus if he's as good as you say. The CB at Swansea's value has probably quadrupled in 18 months, and even our friendly Barnsley posters on here were telling us to buy him.
We're not that rich that we can cherry pick who we want. We've just seemingly wasted the best part of £200m which has likely put us back 2 years as we don;t have any more Lukaku's or Stones to sell. We need to take more punts on these lads. Kids like Tierney and Dembele at Celtic, Dendoncker at Anderlecht. If you ask @Nymzee he could probably give you a list a foot long as he watches all the European football.
