We need an utter grock at CB and solid box to box midfielder. Was embarassing in the derby bejng bullied at set pieces by Van Dijk. If only we had an Nzonzi or Maguire marking.

Only first impressions admittedly, but I thought that Joe Bryan did well at left back against city the other night. Could he be a realistic option?
But he wasn't even playing left back for the majority of the match... When Bryan did get the ball up the pitch he wasted it in good positions a few times. I know he's got a left peg, but I didn't see much against City the other night that says he's going to be all that. That said many seem to fancy him based on the United game.

...Catalan newspaper, Sport, suggest Everton have enquired about Barcelona players, José Arnaiz and Paco Alcácer. Barcelona are unlikely to let either player leave.

That's a shame. I would take both in a heartbeat. I also did mention Arnaiz back in November.

....Barcelona midfielder, Rafinha Alcântara, being linked.
Very good player Eggs. David Silva type in style. Had a bad time with injuries over last couple of years (2 bad ones including ACL). Still only 24. Very surprised Barca are letting him go (yes he is that good Eggs) so I'm wondering if the injuries are the reason.

Would be shocked if he came to us.

THE PLAYER WILL LEAVE BARCELONA IN THIS SESSION OF THE MARKET AND THE NERAZZURRI ARE IN PRESSING
CALCIOMERCATO INTER RAFINHA BARCELONA PREMIER - The transfer market is in full swing. With Benfica, the arrival of Lisandro Lopez for the defense, as told by our editorial staff , is being defined, less than a clamorous turnabout . For the attack the name and the offer to have it are known: 24-year-old Rafinha on loan with a right of redemption (set at 20 million + bonus) from Barcelona .

But, according to rumors gathered by Calciomercato.it , persistence in the Premier League . There are two offers to the player 's entourage from England ( Everton is looking for a Barkley substitute in Chelsea), Rafinha is considering which way to go. They are hours of evaluation for the player, the decision will be totally his: Barcelona, in fact, will not make problems and will give the ok to the team that Rafinha will choose. Inter awaits good news."

Inter it is then.

Been saying it myself.

But left back first please dear god. This idea that we can just make do with Martina is absurd.

Agree completely mate! There ARE plenty of better options around (Please note not necessarily on the Brittish Isles only). Being a Swede, yes I know we are not World Class, as an example I could tell you a couple of better options just looking on the Swedish Team Only, Augustinsson is one. We should easily be able to find someone else in Europe!
