Left Back, Centre Back, Defensive mid, Centre Mid and Wingers and strikers still needed to be added to the squad. All need to have pace and be athletic too.

Its so frustrating when you can see the top teams scouting principals, which is all about pace and athleticism. While we have a clear run at the slow, immobile players and overpay for them too.

It's painful when you think of how far behind we've fallen, this time last year we thrashed city 4-0, 1 year on and we're wiped off the pitch by spurs by the same scoreline and everything about the club from the management to the squad itself has gone backwards.....we're a mess and allardyce is our manager, will never get used to or accept that

Im curious as to which "principals", the "top teams" have signed so far?

The only real signings have been VVD for the vermin, Barkley for Chelsea and Tosun for us.

A bit like Moyes at Utd, is Walsh going the same way? Better at finding a lower league gem than buying big?

We need someone that the top players respect and want to play for. I'm not sure which names or clubs he's been at, but has he ever attracted top name players? Struggling to see where a DoF fits in and what Walsh actually brings to the role.

The pace does not matter posters from the summer seem to have disappeared

Some may turn their noses up at us, but it's worth a try....players like Wilshire/Walcott/Welbeck from Arsenal would be a good starting point and are far far better than what the sides below us have in their squads, and would improve our first 11.

I dont just mean this January, I mean in general. They target players with a lot of pace, who are mobile and comfortable on the ball. Spurs, Chelsea, City and Liverpool are all lightning on the break. Man U have the ability but Jose's style isn't suited to this and Arsenal on their day are superb but Wenger has lost it.

The thing they all have in common is pace
