Come on mate, it starts with the coaching, physically and mentally, followed by the tactics and team selections, then it's down to the players come match day. So they've either down tools again or simply the coaching staff arent doing a good enough job.

Our attack last season was based around Lukaku, Barkley, Miralles, Coleman and Baines. None of them are available now and we have inferior players in their positions. Even last season we hardly won an away game, so it was largely home form that got us the seventh. We have a very poor squad balance now and very limited attacking options and results have shown that.

We’ve signed players of all ages, from all different backgrounds, for a variety of fees- the common theme of the last 3 / 4 years is they haven’t been good enough players. Poor recruitment over a long period catches up with you - which is where we are now, in a hole with not a lot of options to improve our performances in the short term.

I don’t really care if the football is great at the moment as long as we get enough results to stay in mid-table until the end of the season then we can reassess things. Our wins this year have been when we have been solid, kept a good shape and waited for a moment of quality / luck / oppositions mistake to take the lead and then seen out the game. I just don’t see an expansive team in the players we have available, not one that can get results anyway.
