Up to now Allardyce has identified a realistic striker and got him in. Next on the list is he has wanted pace, identified Walcott and we have got him in (nearly). He's slowly undoing the mess Koeman left us with.

I could deal with Garbutt and Baines for the rest of the season and would concentrate on a beast of a midfielder who dictates our play, a lesser Pogba if you like.

No. They are desperately searching for a left back, but if they're available they aren't good enough, and if they are good enough they aren't available. They are searching hard. I believe there will be a positive outcome, but it is difficult, espiecially in January.

You're coming across slightly ITK but if Stafylidis isn't an upgrade on Martina for a 6 month loan then I give up watching football.

Mate, no offense, but tahts chatting utter tripe. Almost literally ANYONE is "good enough" to displace Martina at LB. I'm not being sensationalistic or going over the top, literally any LB in a top 2 division is better than Martina at LB.

sadly you're right. Having a functioning left foot and a basic understanding of football puts you ahead of Martina.

You may think so, but that's a matter of opinion. All I can tell you is that 2 nights ago, I was told by one of the protagonists, "Walcotts done, now for a Left Back".

I rarely get ITK info, but this time I have. They are searching, I promise.

Anyway, enough. I will report back if I hear anything else, though I doubt I will.

Yeh but there is no point in getting any old left back in just because cuco is woeful. Baines is better than "any old left back" and may be back soon. As the poster clearly said, the ones that are good enough are not available.

I'd question anyone's opinion who thinks there aren't probably 40 left backs in England alone who are better than Martina mate. This lad was deemed not good enough at right back for a side in 17th after being 3rd choice their for years.

Keane lol. My gosh. We could have had Mcguire and Hoedt for his price. And would have been able to offload somebody like Jags. Just pathetic from Walsh and Koeman. Pathetic. Gotta back him in now though.

At the minute Keane looks like being a very expensive 3rd/4th choice centre back

We're not signing Rose mate.

Here's Manchester Evening News' report about Shaw earlier in January, they're very reliable for us.

Yeah mate, really reliable

the MEN isn't reliable for United news at all, but you will sign a left back this January and Shaw will get flogged by you to someone

Eric dier was desperate for a move, Spurs related journalists reported the same thing. We didn't sign Morata because of the demands made by Real Madrid. Trust me as a United fan they're the most reliable outlet for us. Not only them have reported the shaw/rose thing either. James ducker/Telegraph who is also reliable did too.
