Walcott is a perfect fit for us. A weak mentality player who is low on confidence and always shys away from a fight.

A lot of skill and pace 5-10 years ago but not someone who would positively impact the team in a huge way.

....we’re into the 11th day of the January transfer window and this is a round-up of the rumours for this Thursday morning;

- Turkishfootball.com report Everton and Arsenal target, Arda Turan, is on the verge of joining Turkish minnows Istanbul Basaksehir from Barcelona.

- The Liverpool Echo and various outlets suggest Everton are interested in Arsenal winger, Theo Walcott. Southampton are also keen. Arsenal want £30m for the 28 year old but The Telegraph quote the fee at £20m.

- According to Gianluca di Marcio, Torino have made an initial enquiry for Everton’s Bosnian midfielder, Mohammed Besic.

- The Daily Star says Everton are plotting an £18m move for Athletico Madrid’s Nicolás Gaitan. Southampton and Newcastle are also reported to be keen on the 29 year old Argentinian.

- 4th Official suggest West Brom are planning an approach for Everton Forward, Oumar Niasse. The same outlet is also running a story about Crystal Palace interest in the same player.

- A Bola report Mexican international, Miguel Layún, wants a move away from Porto and Everton could be the defenders destination.

Dendonker would be a smart buy, as short term it provides a possible starter in two positions, cb, and dm, so would improve the first team and the squad and allow two players to be shifted without effecting us much. Big, powerful and a decent passer, fits the mould of a bfs central player.

For 20m then a good deal really. Think we will try for Shaw and probably get him later after united bring in a new left back, probably again for around 20m initially.

Then we will add one more, winger or second striker for again around the 20m mark.

We'll sell 5-6 and raise a large proportion of what we spend, Besic (4m), Lennon (2m), Niasse (13m), Schneiderlin (20m), Sandro and Klassen probably loaned out and a few others too.
