Glad it’s not just me who notices spud post the most irrelevant nonsense in the hope of the odd ‘like’.

I do quite like Anderson as it goes though. Good player. Too good for them of course but it’s just not for this thread is it?

spud has recently gotten a lot lot worse.

What do you make of Militao mate?

Hardly seen him but he plays either RB or CB which is ideal for us to push keane and coleman.

Looks like an absolute beast at right back...very hard to get past but also can bomb down the flank.

Amazing hes around the same age as kenny.

Him + Wan Bissaka and the right half of defence is sorted.

We are crying out for a Centre Forward.

Spend £60-70 million if needs be we need that top scorer if we are to win against these sides.

RM definitely needs strengthening in January.

Barca wont sell Gomes until the summer where they can get more interest and £££.

Yep. We got the ball into some good positions out wide but had little movement in the middle. Richarlison battles all game but doesn’t have a strikers instincts. We’re missing a goal scorer

Watching us yesterday I think its fair to say to have this side good enough to not only get a point at the top clubs but ti aim for 3 consistently and go toe to toe we will need to spend realistically another £150-200 million in the next 2 transfer windows.

Gomes: £35-40 million
Lozano: £30-35 million
Ndombele: £45-50 million (Brands could sign an alternative for less perhaps)
Top Centre Forward: £50-60 million
Zouma: £25 million

Thats about £200 million but you have a side good enough to not only defend well, but also a strong midfield and an actual goal threat going forward which we currently do not have.

Now to combat against the big expenditure the good news is we have alot of deadwood to sell:

Bolasie: £8-10 million
Tosun: £12-15 million
Niasse: £7-8 million
Vlasic: £12-15 million
Besic: £5-6 million
Mirallas: £2 million
Sandro: £2 million
Schnerderlin: £12-15 million
McCarthy: £8-10 million

About £80-90 million we could look to claw back over the next 2 windows if we can shift the majority of the above out.

So basically we are on target to move forward as a club, the big question mark is if the ownership would be willing to put the funds in to take us to the next level but im hopeful they will.

In terms of Janaury, for me a new centre forward is the priority signing with the others waiting to the summer. Gomes on a permanent would be great next month but I think Barca will wait until the summer in the hope his price tag continues to grow.
