Don't get your beef with me tbh mate you've taken a real dislike to me for some real odd reason.

If you dont want me to suggest actual good strikers how about more realistic targets like Wilson? Oh no you moaned when I last mentioned him.

Yes they are good young strikers with big potential but are they on the same level as:

Ronaldo
Messi
Suarez
Aguero
Salah
Diego Costa
Higuain
Sanchez
Kane
Lewandowski
Cavani
Aubaymang
Dybala
Insigne

Not a chance at present, thats not including players like Mane, Lacazette, Milik, Lukaku, Rodrigo, Firmino, Morata, Alcacer etc.

Rashford has around 20 goals in 91 games for Utd

Jesus is better for City but again its around 1 in every 2.5 which isnt anywhere near the goals the above elite strikers are notching. Jesus will never be a starting player for Man City.

If City are serious about becoming a serious force in Europe in the same bracket as Real, Barca, Juve and Bayern they will need another player like Aguero to fight on all 4 fronts imo.

All of them are in that same bracket as the ones you list at the bottom.

Lukaku same 4 year contract 180k a week = 36.7m + 50m (prob more) transfer fee = 86.7m

Not saying we wouldn’t pay for him but to use what we pay Bernard as a example isn’t the best example to use. Bernard would have cost us 31m. Lukaku would end up costing us nearly 90m

Don’t see how he could have unless he watches a lot of Brazilian football as the lad hasn’t played much in Europe
However either had Mona and that turned out all right
There’s a reason Brands gets big bucks for this transfer lark and some lads play it on the PlayStation in their ma’s bedroom while they sit there in their underwear wetting the bedsheets

But it's wham when all you see is people moaning about suggestions of good strkers yet moan even more when people suggest realistic yet less flavour strikers.


Basically the only signings good enough in some peoples eyes are punts from sub standard leagues like Tosun, Niasse, Barbosa which have been the outright downfall of the club for the past 2 seasons.

The gist of the majority of peoples posts in this thread:

1. Players like Rashford who wouldn't get in Utds side in a month of sundays if Sanchez and Rom were on form are too good for us (when his goal ratio says otherwise).

2. Actual PL goal scorers like Arnautovic, Vardy and Wilson who are scoring more than said Rashford, Rom etc. are crap and not good enough for us (yet apparantely we can't do any better so hypocritical much?).

3. Risk players like Barbosa who score against plumbers and sparks week in week out are boss and are the way forward (despite that same approach biting us on the arse the past 2 seasons with Niasse and Tosun).

Im one of the few who actually isnt talking hypocritical nonsense.

Werner ( unless Lookman goes the other way , but even then I doubt it )
But look on the bright side we are not signing Deeney of Troy either

Coutinho was a flop at Inter....thats why they sold him.

Barbosa is a "proper goalscorer" he is rated better than Everton from Gremio and AC Milan are reported close to signing him for 2o mil.
Gabigol can certainly score goals and I would back Silva & Brands to the hilt if we signed him not a fifa fanboy that knows nowt unless its on a computer screen.
