Let's be real lads. Rom wouldn't come back and we don't want him. Higuain lollol. Let's just have faith that Silva and brands will have identified a striker who can play our style and find the back of the net. I'll happily wait till summer rather than get some stop gap, paying over the odds on both fee and wages.

For you to say there's little difference between Tosun and Lukaku really shows that you either a) know nothing about football or b) are still bitter over him leaving us.

I wasn't even bitter when he left. He was a great striker, parts of him still are a great striker, but if you watch him this season and think he fits our system any more effectively than Tosun maybe you're the one that knows nothing about football.

Guys my mates brother once drove past Finch Farm and says Brands is moving for Lukaku who really wants the return and is happy to take a £125,000 a week wage cut to make it happen. It’s on!!!!!!!

Considering we are paying Bernard 150k I wouldn't be shocked if we could stretch towards 180-200k a week if Brands really pushed the board for a striker.

Just don't want Barbosa coming in as he's garbage.

Gabriel Jesus might be an option once Man City sign a quality back up to Aguero. Jesus is similiar to Rashford in that he's good but not quite at a CL Club's level yet.

Having 2 Brazilian's up top would also be ace, would just need Malcom out the right.

21 in 52 for city and 11 in 24 for Brazil calls BS on that

I mean he blatantly is

No he actually isnt.

Martial
Rashford
Gabriel Jesus

Yes they are good young strikers with big potential but are they on the same level as:

Ronaldo
Messi
Suarez
Aguero
Salah
Diego Costa
Higuain
Sanchez
Kane
Lewandowski
Cavani
Aubaymang
Dybala
Insigne

Not a chance at present, thats not including players like Mane, Lacazette, Milik, Lukaku, Rodrigo, Firmino, Morata, Alcacer etc.

Rashford has around 20 goals in 91 games for Utd

Jesus is better for City but again its around 1 in every 2.5 which isnt anywhere near the goals the above elite strikers are notching. Jesus will never be a starting player for Man City.

If City are serious about becoming a serious force in Europe in the same bracket as Real, Barca, Juve and Bayern they will need another player like Aguero to fight on all 4 fronts imo.

Bernard was on a free transfer. 4 year contract @ 150k = 31.2m

Lukaku same 4 year contract 180k a week = 36.7m + 50m (prob more) transfer fee = 86.7m

Not saying we wouldn’t pay for him but to use what we pay Bernard as a example isn’t the best example to use. Bernard would have cost us 31m. Lukaku would end up costing us nearly 90m

Agree mate, although hopefully Brands realises that spending £50-60 million on a proven top quality striker on 180k a week is better than £25-30 million with wages of 100k a week on some garbage punt like Tosun.

Jeez mate, you mention some of the best in World football in that list, we’re not gonna get an established striker of that calibre. The best we could hope for would be to buy someone with the potential to be as good. Barbosa may be, Rashford may be. Jesus and Martial too. No they’re obviously not at that level, YET, not many are. But let’s be fair. They are obviously not ‘below Champs League level’.
