Forget about Doucoure.. we need to find our own bargains again. Spunking cash on absolute crap hasn't turned out well. We used to give that other lot stick for overpaying, we have taken it to a whole other level.

It actually isn't that crazy a story though. There is not a player in Man City that is more relied on than Fernandinho - that they don't have cover for. To get Gana for 30m now would make a lot of sense. Not saying he'd be first choice - but they have a 60m forward sat warming the bench most games, this is just how City operates. Pep Guardiola has them playing an intense style and they often run out of steam the end of seasons, getting cover for that midfield position would make sense.

Everything we have seen from Gana is that he is at his bets in home games against poorer opposition. Sides he can swamp, who are put under more pressure and who he can be very effective at winning the ball back. What he lacks is distribution, part of that is he is not very good at crying the ball. In quite an ordinary team like Everton he doesn't often have the options available to him to allow him to make easy forward passes. Essentially our forward players will not take the ball in as difficult areas as players such as Sane, Sterling, Aguero, and even Silva/De Bruyne will.

If he joined Manchester City a number of things are different. As alluded too above he would have a host of players he could give the ball too (either sideways or forward) which would automatically reduce his weakness. Also his strength, of being able to hunt for the ball and win it back would be far more useful an attacking option. He'd have more chances to do it, and more chances to do it further up the pitch. Manchester City dominate every team at home and most teams away.

In short the signing makes a lot of sense for City.

I personally don't think we would miss Gana much same as Stones we didn't miss him much either, both good players, but in there respective positions we have players that are ok, the players we did miss is Lukaku and Barkley to a degree, I thought Sigs wad meant to sort of do what Barkley did at times, but Sigs is as inconstant as Barkley was and cost massive amounts more.

Sigurdsson is nothing like Barkley and I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me how we are replacing Gana because last night's midfield ain't it.
