But nearly everyone knows we need a proper striker.

I just look at Henry, Ronaldo, Salah and to a lesser extent Overmars and Robben.

All widemen who score hatfuls.

The balance of the side is as important as a goalscorer.

Eg: Lukaku is a great finisher but I wouldn't want him ahead of Lozano. A front 3 of pace, trickery and a goal threat is more leathal than an out and out striker.

When the RS signed Carroll and Suarez after selling Torres, Carroll was the goalscorer. Suarez was a punt* who paid off massively.

*he was something that rhymed with punt.

Looking at £160-170m there I reckon.

We could probably bring in around £60-70 from selling Schneiderlin, besic, McCarthy, vlasic, henry, niasse.

Could we afford an additional £100m outlay to try and breach the gap to the champions league sides?

If we finish in the top 6 and USM open the purse strings. Yes it would be doable.

I really don't think Lozano can play the 9. Richarlison has some ability to do so, but Chucky is a different player.

I think he could adapt. I’ve said a few times how his movements remind me of Aguero and Suarez. Plus he battles away.
