I think we're better with the 3 at the back and Baines and Coleman offering the width. I don't see how Depay fits into that system

That system can easily be switched to 4 at the back though, if a better CB is brought in.

Which allows a three up top. But not with 'traditional' wingers.

Depay is more of a forward than a winger.

Looks like it might be a quiet time until after the Palace game and then pick up towards end of window. If you'd have said we'd make two quick (ish) signings at start of window and a couple at the end of it, most of us would've accepted that. Probably some outgoings too.

I was thinking about this earlier, and it just might be the feel good factor from yesterday, but it may be that it's alright that we don't sign anybody else. Better to get it right in the summer.

Whose available this time of year. Schneiderlin was available because it really didn't work out at Manu and he was surplus. Fine as he is a good player but there aren't many of those type of player around except Depay.

If we don't sign any players it means that Davies, Holgate and Lookman get more game time. This may benefit us later on down the line.

Of course if we do sign some crackers ignore everything I've just said.
