Asmir Begovic is available for £12m, Bournemouth are interested, I think he is a great keeper, I am kind of surprised we are not linked, he is better than Robles and Stek

This is my worry. We seem to be linked to a plethora of all action, ball winning midfielders but how many do we need. If we were to sign Kessie that would be Schneiderlin, Kessie, Gana, Davies, Barry, McCarthy (and the dross - Gibson, Cleverley (when he comes back), Besic). How many combative or deep lying midfielders do we need?!If we are seriously interested in Kessie it would indicate that we are looking to develop a system which would involve an all action midfield and a possible back 3, making us very hard to score past. Having discussed Deulofeu at length recently I noted how he could not have scored the goal Davies did on Sunday. He would have stayed sat on the floor demanding a free kick. In this system we would Utilise wing backs and a lethal striker, with a wing forward supporting (Mirallas/Lookman/?). Against Man City it showed that with clinical finishing we can not just win but hammer very good sides.
Could this same tactic work against the likes of Palace away though?
Good time to experiment and get that squad balance correct and drilled ahead of August 17.
And that link to Terrier fella is weird, hes played a total of 166minutes.
19 year old.
Strange un.
STATEMENTWe need a HUGE STATEMENT.
Not so strange when you read that Walsh wants to bring in 5 "outstanding" teenagers. Lookman was the start & I guess Holgate & Davies plus perhaps D C-L and it makes sense?
I don't understand why a player like Berahino who was wanted by Spurs , has sacrificed three years of his career through an on-going dispute with WBA and all this so that he can go to Stoke.
We need a HUGE STATEMENT.
How come Pulis will benefit? Its not actually all down to Saido.
Pulis personally makes profit out of the sale; Saido hates Pulis and doesn't want this to happen.
For the past 6-9 months Pulis has been on the verge of being sacked. Its only since the takeover that the pressure has reduced.
WBA didn't want to sell Saido as Pulis would pocket loads and he was on verge of being sakced; Saido didn't want to be sold as he didnt want Pulis to get the cash so rejected all moves.
As it stands, WBA more keen to sell now due to a) tribunal not going to go in there favour and b) Pulis position is strengthened since takeover bid.
All a bit messy.
