With VVD being out for 3 months, effectively the rest of the season, I wonder if Saints are more willing to sell him this window and would we take a chance rather than potentially missing out in the summer.

He might not get a game for a West Ham but he'd be better than Jags at the moment, and Williams only has another couple of seasons in him tops.
Holgate and Funes Mori will be our only options soon.

They have a worse defense than us mate, he wouldn't be better than jags if he is going go get game time for rangers.

God no. He's utter dirge, one decent game against one of the league's worst defences doesn't change that.

watching the Liverpool v Saints game. We could easily have signed Redmond from Norwich quite cheaply a couple of years back. He and Bertrand doing a good Baines/Pienaar impression down the left.

I disagree. He's a good player and is only 22. I'd have him here at the right price but we should be looking at someone better I think.
