Nah, you can't include Snivelley here as an example. He was just a completely terrible footballer, let alone capable of wing play. The rest could easily make it work if we switched formation.

Unless a top class player becomes available, better to leave it for cool heads in the summer

By the way I do agree on this bit, I wouldn't like us to sign another £28m player like Bolasie. I would rather we keep our money until the summer (ffp permitting) and buy a proven talent. Not knocking yannick btw but £28m was too much, even more so that he has only got 1 leg now

Maybe not but he was so we signed him. What I am saying is if they aren't a main target who we are looking to build the future around then there isn't much point in signing someone for the sake of it and being stuck with a high wage player we don't want in the future. It is fairly obvious that MS was the number one target for January and we got him, if we have missed out on targets 2,3,4 and 5 as they aren't for sale at present why sign somebody as an afterthought if next season Koeman will want rid?

Playmaker/second attacker was the priority though: Lukaku gets injured and that's that.

Everybody knows that, it's a question of being able to buy players of a high enough standard, nobody wants another niasse!

Agree on both accounts. He'd cost well north of £30m at the moment. 18 goals in 67 games, a lot as a sub, does a lot of the grotty work. Good player.

Even that was probably 'overpaying', but the reality is that's the current market.

i remember that on teletext. I read about abel xavier first that way, portugal star on their way to everton and i genuinely thought it was going to be someone good.
