Rumours are Sunderland are trying to get left back Diego Contento from Bordeaux on loan.

to replace van aanholt. Honestly don't understand these teams down the bottom. Hull have offloaded livermore and snodgrass, two regular starters and then sland now selling arguable their second best player and goal threat after defoe.

I understand hull's owners are in for a quick buck though, but surely they'd make more money staying in the prem than they would from parachute payments? Sunderland though? Injury crisis, loads of players at AFCON, almost certs to go down anyway, but they're still there. what on earth is their excuse?

You haven't seen him try to defend have you ? He might look good on MOTD 4min highlights but hes cost us plenty with mistakes Fletchers goal last week summed him up (33secs in) also nowhere to been seen for the 2nd

If the money can be spent on someone good whos job is attacking then Im happy

Yep, doesn't make sense to sell your better players when you're in a relegation fight. With Sunderland looking like they are willing to sell players, but then trying to replace them with loanees, maybe they're in financial difficulty?
