Seems that Oviedo could be a serious option for you guys then with van Aanholt going.

Getting £14m and buying Oviedo for £5-10m wouldn't be bad business as he's a good player.

I find comments like this very distasteful. Our greatest ever manager had well-known battles with alcohol addiction that no doubt impacted on all aspects of his life but you won't find many Evertonians saying that he should have been abandoned by the club. Addiction comes in all kinds of forms and for all kinds of reasons, most of which you probably don't understand if you haven't been in that situation. If you want to use this as just another reason to bash the club you claim to support then go ahead, but being so short on empathy isn't a character trait I would be so openly shouting about if I were you.

The culture in German football is to give youth a chance early. The premier is miles behind by comparison. Look at the German U21 squad and they are all regular starters in the Bundesliga.

Sunderland showing exactly why that is i am afraid. Selling the left back and plugging the gap with a cheap foreign player. considering how many clubs do that on a yearly basis then it makes the culture harder to break. Instant results is the new way of doing things, sunderland stay up with cheap import and it is job done, doesn't make the young left back in the academy any closer to game time but that doesn't matter to the board.
