True.
But Fernandinho is 32 and won't be leaving City any time soon.
There aren't really many other midfielders like him.
Nainnggolan probably is pretty close.
On a side note, heard a Spurs fan last week complaining about Eriksen, saying that he never does a thing.
I genuinely laughed out loud.
They'd throw away the key for the stuff I'd do to get Eriksen in our side...
After watching him at Ajax, I don't think he does what is expected of him either. Should of been a world beater IMO.
OK mate...Thanks you just posted what I was going to say. I was mainly highlighting the 2 biggest problems imo, in that team.
Just highlights @We'veGotTonyHibbert! lack of knowledge if he thinks Coleman can defend like Azpilcueta.
He's a passenger some games and if its not going right or he is not getting the service, then the minimum requirement is graft for the team, he shouldn't have to be instructed to do that. Yes he is twice the player when he has a partner close to him, and we are not playing to his strengths. When a move breaks down help the team and fight to get the ball back instead of waving his arms about. Until he gets that graft into his game he will never become the player he thinks/wants to be.Rubbish.
It has to be 'in' a player to do that.
Kevin Campbell never did it. Yakubu never did it. Zlatan never does it...
Rooney did/does, AJ did etc.
It's not in some players.
He needs to do more, but we don't play to his strengths anyway.
I'm not saying he shouldn't put more effort in, but if he was going to have that side to his game he'd have it by now.
The lad will never be a lone striker for that reason.
He has to have support, whether that's with a striker up alongside him or two wide forwards either side.
As the lads on ToffeeTV said the other night, Lukaku worked best when he had Kone or Naismith alongside him.
He's still only 24 though.
He'd walk into our side as the best player in it.
He's a no.10 that is always played as a left winger, yet he still got 8 goals and 16 assists last season, and already has 3 goals and 3 assists this term.
That's not to mention his all-round impact in general play as well.
Class player. Miles better than anything we have to offer.
Bloody hell.... this guy is utter poo!
Everton are set to test Spurs’ nerve with a cut price offer for Moussa Sissoko.
The French internationalist moved to London from Newcastle for £30m on the final day of the summer transfer window despite strong interest from Goodison.
Sissoko has failed to match the form that he showed at Euro 16 which sparked a bidding war despite being part of the Newcastle side that was relegated.
Now, according to a report in The Express, Everton are set to revive their interest after Mauricio Pochettino went public with his criticism of Sissoko.
