Weird feeling tonight. I'm not particularly arsed right now at our dealings. Not delighted by any means but not that bothered.

That said if you'd have told me last June that the two windows would go like this I'd have been really disappointed. It's all quite strange. Maybe I'm just putting misguided faith in us clearing the way for what could be a massive amount of investment in quality players.

This has been an excellent window. The U23 season only has seven games left and when they're done, those kids now have somewhere to go with literally all the rubbish cleared out of the senior squad.

Plus Schneiderlin and Lookman and a couple punts on raw-talent prospects.

Based on what was truly available I think Everton have done as well as they could.
